Someone categorized time as our greatest resource. Everyone living has it. What we do with and how we manage time makes the difference. Time should be considered as life. To waste time is wasting life. Wasting time reveals the lack of knowing the value of life.

It is true that time may be money, but with one very distinctive difference. Wasted money may be replaced, but wasted time is gone forever. Stephen Covey said, “Don’t spend time, but invest it”. Like investing money, good investment of time requires continued priority value consideration.

We cannot recycle time. If we are to enjoy the future, we must consider not wasting the present time. “Killing time” should be considered as time slowly killing you.

Shouldn’t we take time to manage time?  One of the most classic commentaries I heard recently on time management was, “I plan to take a course on time-management, as soon as I can work into my schedule”.  “You may delay, but time will not” said Benjamin Franklin. Time is no respect of persons. The things that we consider can be done any time will generally not be done at any time without good time management.

To use another familiar cliche’ “time flies”, yes it does fly but you can be the pilot. Time used wisely is a fundamental measure of occurrences in sequence. Early may not be as good as on-time; late may not be “better late than never”; A Biblical principle from Ecclesiastes 3 states, “For everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose…”. It goes on to say in lay terms that managed time is important in everything we do.

Let this be a lesson to us to be diligent in managing our time (life) now because time is now.
