The second annual SEAE was held on September 28 & 29 at the Greenville Downtown Airport.  It was a great 2 day aviation trade show, despite the rain on Saturday morning, which hosted vendors, education sessions, and static displays.  The trade show was designed to bring those that work or have an interest in aviation together for a two day aviation event.  There were a total of 52 vendors that participated in this year’s event.  Vendors included aircraft manufactures like Cessna, Cirrus, Diamond, Eclipse, aviation parts manufactures like Champion, Michelin, Lycoming, aircraft maintenance and charter companies, aviation insurance, flight training and many, many other aviation related companies were represented.  This createted the perfect oportunity for attendees to interact and ask questions to find out more about each vendor.  In addition to the vendor booths, there were over 13 static displays of aircraft.

One of the highlights of the two days was Craig Fuller, President of AOPA, who spoke on what the AOPA was doing for the industry and where the aviation industry is headed.  Special Services Corporation hosted the education sessions in our hangar and conference room.  These sessions ran throughout both days and covered a wide range of topics from aircraft ownership, risk management to inspections, tire training for safe operations, engine maintenance and spark plug design.  The speakers were able to share their in-depth knowledge as most were vendors at the expo.  The two day expo saw 523 attendees.  We had pilots and aviation enthusiasts come from all over the state and well beyond.  If you missed the expo this year mark your calendars for next year and be a part of the aviation expo in 2013.
